Joel and Michelle Levey
Joel and Michelle Levey have devoted their lives to the intensive study, practice, and teaching of the Dharma. They’ve received blessings from many beloved teachers in the Theravada, Mahayana, Vajrayana, and Dzog Chen traditions to share what they have learned.
With 50 years of experience, the Leveys are early pioneers in introducing mindfulness and Dharma teachings into mainstream medicine, higher education, and organizations, and have served on the faculty for University of Minnesota Medical School, Indian Institute of Management, and Mahidol University in Thailand. Their published works include Living in Balance; Mindfulness, Meditation, & Mind-Fitness; Wisdom at Work.
They have worked with communities and leaders in hundreds of organizations around the globe sharing Dharma wisdom, including: NASA, Google, British Parliament, World Government Summit, World Business Academy, MIT, Stanford, and M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center. Michelle and Joel were honored to co-organize and sit the first Shamatha Project, year-long silent retreat with the Ven. Gen Lamrimpa.
The Dalai Lama, an advisor and supporter of a number of the Leveys’ projects, blessed them in their life-work, writing: “You are presently engaged in work that has great prospects for bringing the Dharma to a very wide section of people who may not under ordinary circumstances come into contact with these teachings. I am very pleased about the work that you are doing and send you blessings and prayers for your success.” Learn more at: http://WisdomAtWork.com/MindfulnessPioneers/
