Hildur Palsdottir

Hildur Palsdottir volunteers as EcoDharma Program Coordinator at the Natural Dharma Fellowship and facilitates the Rewilding the Soul series.

Trained as a biochemist, Hildur earned her PhD at the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics and later conducted research at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and NYU School of Medicine.

A longtime meditation practitioner, Hildur extended her contemplation of interbeing to grassroots engagement and is actively involved in several local and regional initiatives. Co-founder of Rewild Long Island, Hildur contributes to Long Island Conservancy, Science Museum of Long Island and Transition Town Port Washington. Hildur also serves on the advisory board of the Center for Earth Ethics.

A national convener with the Council on the Uncertain Human Future, Hildur is currently in Earth Awareness Teacher Training with Sky Mind retreats. She completed Teaching Mindfulness 200-hr Certification in 2018 and was ordained Interfaith Minister with the Sanctuary for Peace and Harmony in 2016. Hildur co-founded Sol Center in 2017 with Adina Dabija. They offer nature-based healing arts programming at various locations.

A self described modern mystic Hildur is curiously rooting in the timeless practice of Dzogchen. She finds joy in birdwatching, wildlife tracking, and spending time outdoors with her family and friends of all species.
