The yogic tradition of Buddhism teaches that the body is a sacred space, capable of waking us up physically, energetically and spiritually. In this three day meditation retreat, join Rose Taylor Goldfield, author of Training the Wisdom Body (Shambhala, 2013), and Lama Willa Miller, author of The Wakeful Body (upcoming), as they teach practical and joyful methods to take the body as your primary path to awakening. Together, we will explore what it means to embody wisdom, and access the power of the body to open the mind to the pervasive, luminous and spacious qualities of awareness.

Rose will offer instructions in Lujong, the ancient Tibetan practice that brings physical exercise and meditation together. It has been used for centuries to enhance natural confidence, help meditation become deeper and more profound, dissolve anxiety and stress, and increase physical and mental vibrancy.

Lama Willa will offer instructions in embodied meditation practice, working to access deepening layers of our enlightened potential through subtle attention.

These meditation and sacred movement practice assist us in building a strong mental, emotional, energetic and bodily foundation for a healthy human life, as well as service for others. The yogas work on the threefold levels of our human being: the physical body, the subtle body of feeling and sensation, and pure awareness. Over the course of each day, we will train with body-based sitting meditation, subtle body practices, and movement meditations, with an eye to building a foundation for lifelong practice.

Wisdom Body Lujong Instructor Certification: This weekend provides a foundation and is a pre-requisite for those who wish to take certification as a Lujong Instructor. For further information on lujong certification please email: rose@wisdomsun.org
