What does it mean to be a beneficial presence? Is it about what we do or how we are, or both? This year’s Teacher’s Retreat will explore what it means to embody beneficial, compassionate, wise, equanimous presence for the sake of others, not only in Dharma contexts but in our daily lives. In the course of this retreat, we will consider the role of listening, discernment, self-care and healthy boundaries in spiritual care, as well as looking at what impedes beneficial presence, for us as individuals and in community. As part of our discussion, we will revisit and clarify the leadership roles and responsibilities (which are gradually growing and changing) at Natural Dharma Fellowship, exploring how we can embody our roles to the fullest, while upholding common purpose and shared values, and addressing our individual aspirations.

(Registration restricted to NDF Core and Visiting Teachers, and NDF Mentors and Margha Mitras)
