Registration for this retreat is now closed.
Join Acharya Lama Gursam Rinpoche for a weekend of instruction on mind-training and Buddhist ethics through close study of the classic text The Bodhisattva’s Way of Life by Shantideva. Lama Gursam will teach in Tibetan with Lama Willa Miller providing translation. The Bodhisattva’s Way of Life is a profound classic, often quoted by His Holiness the Dalai Lama as one of most important influences on his life and teachings, describes the ethical orientation of the Bodhisattva and provides practical wisdom for daily life. Over the course of the weekend, Lama Gursam will guide us through the chapter on mindfulness, in which Shantideva explores the importance of mindfulness, alertness and vigilance in addressing reactivity and maintaining the stance of compassion and generosity towards others. Shantideva’s words of wisdom are especially pertinent for today’s tumultuous times.
