Cancelled — Discovering Your Essence of Love
With Lama John Makransky and Lama Liz Monson
October 16 - 18, 2020
Have you ever felt that there isn’t enough love in your life? That love is something you need to find outside of yourself in order to feel whole and fully alive? If so, this retreat is for you.
Over this weekend, Lamas John Makransky and Liz Monson will explore practices of accessing and abiding in our essential nature of love. Although it may feel counterintuitive, by extending love and compassion to others and by engaging in an empowering field of caring, spiritual connection, we can discover the depth and power of our own unceasing spring of love. Because it exists as the nature of our heart/mind, such love cannot be drained or exhausted. Reconnecting with and tapping into its flow helps us to relax with ourselves and others, enabling a sense of completeness and contentment. By learning to abide in this flowing river of love, we discover a natural ability to respond to our world with kindness and care, recognizing the potential for skillful action in daily life.
This retreat will be held in noble silence.
Wonderwell Mountain Refuge strives to offer retreats in a manner that is non-cost prohibitive and inclusive to persons of all means. If the full retreat cost would create an undue financial burden, we encourage persons to apply for scholarship and work-study. Whether one needs to request aid to defer a large or small portion of the cost of a retreat so as not to incur a financial burden, we strive to accommodate you. This link will take you to information about our work-study and scholarship possibilities. Depending on the type of work that you do, you may be eligible for a Hemera Contemplative Fellowship.
