Sometimes it’s easy to see the beneficial impact our meditation practice has on our lives. At other times personal, relational, or social matters disturb the mind (and/or body) and the fruits of practice can be harder to recognize. As meditators how do we work with the limitations of our own mind, particularly during difficult times? How do we relate to uncertainty, fear, anger, anxiety, and how do we reconcile difficult mind states with the virtuous ideals of the Dharma which speak to peace and freedom, especially when these values appear to be threatened in the world around us? In this session we will explore these questions with an emphasis on how meditation helps open the heart and mind despite conditions.

Natural Dharma Fellowship’s Dharma Sundays are donation-based gatherings open to all, offering a wide range of topics. Led by highly trained NDF Dharma and guest teachers, these live, interactive sessions include guided meditation, teachings, and time for questions and discussion. Please join us to settle into the support of sangha and the joy of practicing together.
