Dharma Hike with Lama Willa: Mt. Kearsarge
With Lama Willa Blythe Baker
July 22, 2026
9:00 am–2:30 pm ET | Meet at Winslow Trail Trailhead, Winslow State Park
Join Lama Willa for a half day of practice on Mt. Kearsarge, where the natural world becomes both our companion and our teacher.
This mindful hike offers a special opportunity to practice alongside Lama Willa within a mountain landscape like those that have long inspired generations of Tibetan Buddhist practitioners. As we make our way to the summit, there will be moments to pause, settle into awareness, and deepen our connection with the mountains, forests, and open sky.
At the summit, Lama Willa will offer instruction in the Dzogchen practice of sky-gazing and hold space for group meditation. Together, we’ll explore how the vastness of the natural world can support recognition of our own naturally open and aware mind.
Please note that this is a genuine mountain hike, not a leisurely nature walk. Lama Willa intends to maintain a steady pace, and participants should be comfortable hiking over uneven, rocky terrain with a sustained uphill climb.
Please come prepared with:
- Sturdy hiking boots or trail shoes
- Water
- Packed lunch and snacks (to be enjoyed at the summit)
- Trekking poles (recommended)
- Bug repellent
- Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
We will meet at the Winslow Trail Trailhead on Winslow House Rd. in Winslow State Park (Wilmont, NH 03287). Please arrive a few minutes early so we can begin hiking promptly at 9:00 am.
Please note that New Hampshire State Park entrance fees apply to access the park road. Visit the NH State Parks website for current information and to purchase your Day Use Pass in advance.
In the event of rain or thunderstorms, the hike will be postponed to Thursday, July 23. If weather requires postponement, this page will be updated by 7:30 am ET on the morning of Wednesday, July 22.
This event is freely offered and registration is not required.
Donations are welcome and participants are invited to offer dana in support of Lama Willa’s generosity and continued teaching. To make an offering, please visit the NDF donation page, select “Retreat/Event Dana,” and note “Dharma Hike with Lama Willa” in the comments.
