The Unexpected Naturally Shows Itself
With Brendan Kennedy
May 7 - 13, 2018
At a certain point in my life and in my practice, I clearly came to the conclusion – or had the insight – that as long as I see things as separate, solid and different, I will not awaken to who I really am or to my true nature. Then at a certain point, I came across Saraha’s pith instruction: “The true nature of all things is devoid of anything to be experienced.”
As I started to unpack and clarify the insight, it changed my whole perspective of reality. It freed me from this heavy burden I had, at a conscious and unconscious level, that I had to do something, to be something instead of simply being who I really am.
I explored the potential of that pith instruction. So with this newfound insight, instead of trying to be somebody or become something, all I had to do was start to stop being who I thought I was, who I think I am. And I then started to free myself from all the preconceptions, from all the conditioning and habits, and all the ideas that I have about everything. Instead of trying to be something, become something, all I had to do was just simply let go of all the things that I was holding on to, consciously and unconsciously.
This retreat includes significant opportunity for meditation practice periods, both with Brendan and self-guided within the group.
